On "Buggies, Bustles, & Barrelhouse": A Photo Post

Despite having quite a number of records, I tend to rotate the same four of five in my frame throughout the year. Normally this time of year I'd have my Vivian Leigh record with the giant rabbit on it (previously seen in this post) for spring, but I decided to go with something different this time. Not only is the art work on the cover charming, but it's a great album to listen to!

  1. Such marvelously lovely artwork. I have the biggest perpetual crush on mid-century does Victorian anything (a love that no doubt got its roots in large part from watching Meet Me in St. Louis so many times as a child).

This looks and sounds like a terrific record. I'd be tempted to display it propped up on a shelve (or elsewhere) as the work of art that its cover is.

Happy start of spring, my sweet friend!

    1. While I'll admit to buying it primarily for the cover (I only glanced at the songs), I really was very pleased the album itself in comparison to some other ragtime ones I've found.

I have a feeling it will be staying in my record album frame for quite some time!
